1. Colour Theme

Green is set to be one of the top wedding colours seen throughout 2024.

11% of couples are projected to use sage green are part of their wedding colour theme, with forest green coming in a close second. Shades of deep reds and Oranges are also predicted to be a popular accent colour.

2. Technology

Everyone is aware that technology is becoming more and more integral within our day-to-day lives, and when it comes to weddings, this is no exception.  Weddings in 2024 will increasingly be about using cutting-edge technology to achieve a new level of sophistication throughout your big day.

Whether it be online planning, crafting digital invites, designing interactive websites, or including QR codes on the day, many couples will be opting to embrace these technology-led trends.

3. Audio Guestbooks

Instead of asking your guests to pen a few heartfelt words to paper, why not consider recording their well wishes on a vintage phone.

Whether it be a rotary phone or a telephone box, these retro accessories can double up as both a recording device and a fun wedding keepsake for long after the wedding day is over. Audio guest books are a wedding trend that is set to surpass well beyond 2024.

4. The Wedding Weekend 

Inspired by the American trend of having a rehearsal dinner the night prior, and a farewell brunch the morning after the wedding day, couples are now looking to pro-long their wedding celebrations (and their wedding fashion) over multiple days and events. There is an increasing demand for venues that can host a full wedding weekend to truly make the most out of the big day.

5. Drones & Content Creators 

As well as candid photography, aerial shots and the use of drones have been becoming increasingly popular in wedding videography. Providing a birds-eye view of your venue & guests, this unique perspective is sure to add a touch of cinematic magic to your wedding video.

Content creators are also becoming a more and more popular addition to your wedding day. With the ability to produce and post content in real-time, couples no longer have to wait weeks to post their wedding photographs on social media anymore.

6. Interactive Table Plans

Another creative wedding trend which will leave your guests in awe is interactive seating charts and table plans. From flower walls filled with food or drink escort cards or items that double up as favours, to walls filled with heartfelt letters, this is sure to make your table plan memorable.

7. Signature Cocktails

Wanting to find a way to personalise your day even further? Why not consider offering your guests a signature cocktail from the bar that represents each of your own tastes and preferences.

There is also a growing trend of switching out the traditional champagne to toast for signature cocktails or even shots!

8. Speciality Catering

Couples value personalisation and want to create experiences for their guests that are unique, memorable, and fun. Steering clear of the traditional three course meal and tiered wedding cake, 2024 is set to bring us more unique offerings when it comes to food throughout the wedding day.

The demand for Food trucks is increasing, with the most popular catering being pizza, American BBQ or Mexican food / tacos. In recent years, sharing menus have gain popularity as an alternative to a traditional sit-down meal, for allowing guests to taste a variety of foods while socialising. And when it comes to the evening, grazing tables and dessert bars are a welcome update to the traditional buffet and wedding cake.

9. The Second Look

With aims of making the after-party bigger and more memorable than ever, both Brides and Grooms alike are now adding a wardrobe change into the ‘Second Look’ for their evening receptions.

Whether this be to feel more comfortable dancing the night away, or to have that additional WOW moment as you take to the dancefloor, we love the nod to the tradition of the ‘Going away outfit’.

As our awareness of our impact on the environment grows, so does the focus on sustainability throughout all aspects of our lives, with weddings being no exception.

This could include opting for digital invites as opposed to paper ones, selecting locally sourced foods and flowers, or hiring décor instead of buying. Another popular trend is using vintage or heirloom pieces, such as pre-loved wedding dresses and jewellery, which will not only add a touch of nostalgia to your big day, but also reduce the demand for new products.
