When you’re planning what to do and where to go, ensure you make the most of the time you’ll have. Most girlie weekends will be a second holiday treat and some friends may only be able to getaway for a couple of days. Consider booking somewhere close to home, this will give you more time to relax. If you opt for a short break nearby, you’ll also have more budget to spend on accommodation and luxury items, rather than flights!
Activities are a great way to bring everyone together, especially if some of your friends don’t know each other very well. Cocktail making sessions or wine tasting is a great icebreaker and a lot of fun. If you’re booking a cottage or a manor house for the weekend, why not book a mixologist or wine expert to run a masterclass in the comfort of your own room?
Beauty treatments are ideal, but a massage is even better after a day in the great outdoors. If you’re girlfriends are sporty, book your break near somewhere you can access stand-up paddle boarding or horse-riding lessons. If there’s a beach nearby, you’ll be able to catch-up with some sunbathing too.
After a long day no girls’ weekend would be complete without chill-out time in the pool, sauna or hot tub. And, of course don’t forget to pack a bottle of prosecco!
