AFTER YOU’VE SAID YES, WHAT DO YOU DO? HERE ARE VAULTY MANOR’S TOP TEN TIPS FOR PLANNING YOUR WEDDING
1. Start planning early
Once you’re engaged, collect ideas on Pinterest and settle on the time of year you want to get married.
2. Set your budget
Decide on a budget, think about what’s most important, and where you want to allocate your money.
3. Choose your bridal party
Wedding planning can be stressful, so it’s important to choose people who will support you throughout the planning process, and who you want close by on your big day.
4. Set a date
Make sure you set a date before contacting venues and suppliers, and keep in mind that certain times of year and days of the week are cheaper than others.
5. Find a venue
Make sure your venue has everything you want. If you have guests travelling from far and wide, or want people to stay over, make sure your venue can accommodate your guests.
6 Choose great suppliers
See if your wedding venue has preferred suppliers, if they do, that means they’ve already passed their quality standards, which means you’ll be in very safe hands.
7. Book a great photographer
Pictures are how you’ll remember your wedding day, so you want to make sure you have the best photographer. Meet with a range of photographers and videographers and make sure you choose someone that can capture your day the way you want it to be remembered.
8. Wet weather plan
Even if you get married in the summer, you’ll want to make sure that you account for England’s temperamental weather! Many venues offer stunning outdoor locations for your ceremony, but make sure there’s an indoor option too.
9. Don’t be afraid to ask
You never know what could be possible! Wedding co-ordinators are there to make your dreams come true on your wedding day and it’s often the ‘little things’ that make your big day. So never be afraid to ask for exactly what you want.
10. Destress before the big day
It’s important to relax before your wedding day, to ensure you feel great and look your best. Remember it’s a celebration of you tying the knot, you’ll be with the people who love you the most. Relax and enjoy!
